On our winter break, we celebrated Christmas with my brother-in-law from Japan. The kids received lots of gifts, including a Wii console. We ventured to Greenville, SC to visit my in-laws, where we walked through downtown on a brisk December night!
We went to a new year’s party at a neighbor’s house and let the kids watch the ball drop in Eastern Time, to get them in bed an hour earlier. I wish USN & Metro would coordinate their break days to make childcare easier.
Our family stayed home over Winter Break, and Ellie’s (and younger brother, Theo’s) grandparents came to visit us for a few days. In addition to Ellie having the four playdates she mentioned, she learned two new card games from her Grandma.
We are usually a family that is always on-the-go, as are many families these days. Lynn and I took some time off, and the kids enjoyed having much more time with Mom and Dad.
I thought that the password was an interesting idea. I could use it.
One time there was a guy that came up to me and asked me if my dads car was for sale. So I ran inside and told my dad. He was steamed when I told him. I don’t know what happened after that. It was a weird experience.

Thank you, Bob! The low turnout on this page is testament to how busy our families are. I appreciate your taking the time to comment here!

EmiJah and I had a great Christmas at home. The day was so beautiful, we threw the football outside and grilled!
