Safety, Staying Healthy Video
4th graders comment here about the video we watched today, “Staying Safe: Strangers, Cyberspace & More” from Schlessinger Media. What stuck with you? Tell one thing you learned. Has anything ever happened to you that made you feel frightened or unsafe? What did you do?
If you were going to make a video about Safety, how would yours be different?

I thought the password technique was very interesting and it would work very well to make everyone safer.

I think there were some good ideas.Like having a password if someone you don’t know tries to pick you up.

i thought that it was kind of weird like the chat room people. I don’t chat with anyone I don’t know so that wouldn’t be bad. And what if someone didn’t have the password but they were real?

This movie was very stupid, the password thing was weird because somebody could overhear your mom telling somebody else or they could just have a lucky guess. Street smarts is a weird name because they say the interet has to do with street smarts because there is no connection.

I thought the movie was nopt really for 9 and 10 year olds. More like 5 and 6 year olds.

I thought that the movie was pointless because we watched that stuff in kindergarden. And alot of the stuff we already knew, so I say that it was pointless. And I thought that the password thing was weird because if someone over heard you telling if to someone they would know it forever.

I thought that it was dumb when they said to have a password because if you tell someone it one time then they know it forever. If they were not really picking you up they would know the password and they could say they were picking you up and then when the person who is really picking you up would get there and you wouldn’ be there.

I learned that you should have a password and it is very helpful (I guess so). NONE OF THE THINGS HAVE EVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE. NEVER!!!! I never even think our family is going to have a password either. NEVER!!!! SO DON’T THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!! DON’T YOU DARE!!!!!!!! The first time a health tip thing came up it went “HEALTH TIP!!!”( It sounded cool).

I thought it the movie was good and bad. It had some weird things like make a password for your family. And to tell a adult after a car comes to you for directions. And it gave some good advise.

I thought the video was wierd but it had good ideas for safety. The best idea was the password.
Once I was in my driveway and a car came into the driveway. I ran inside and told my my mom. He was just turning around.

I thought that 5/6 of this movie was stupid because it was saying to not give stangers directions and I have never done it before. And I have not even emailed before.

comment: I thought that the movie was “interesting”. Some people thought the movie was stupid. I guess I partially did, because the people who were talking were kind of cheesy because of the voice they used or how they explained things. I thought that the information was useful but, how they said it made people think that it was stupid.

I thought the movie was good. It had great ideas like the password. My family already has a password. One time someone was taking our broom and they gave it back, but it was strange.

I learned on the video that if you see a weapon to leave it alone. and if a person asked you for your address to to tell a trusted person

I think the movie will help kids be safe. Learning this stuff could help you survive if you ever get into a situation like someone asking you to get in their car. It is also kind of interesting.

I thought it will teach kids alot about saftey, but it might be scary for some kids like the stuff about the guns and wepons,but it teaches a good lesson.

The movie seemed pretty good to me. I still think that it would be rude to just stop talking to somebody on the internet because then they would just be left there on the computer. It might hurt their feelings, one minute they are talking to you, the next you just leave. but the password was a good idea. Our family has a password.

I think this movie was not good because of the chat room. Why did that girl just leave it she could of said i dont think so. And don’t just leave and let the kid wonder where u went– that might be bad too!
