It’s blog comment time again! What was your favorite thing about fourth grade at USN? Comment below as instructed to let those rising fourth graders know that it’s not all work and that there’s alot to look forward to!

Fouth grade is the year everything changes. You get to be the “elders” of lower school. There’s more work, but you’ll get used to it. You get to have recess at the end of the day (which is awsome) and get to walk in the halls not in line!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have a lot more privledges, and get to type a lot. As for the bad news, your teacher will lecture you non stop about how you are about to be fifth graders, but they eventually discover its not working. You get to do awsome stuff in art, like the maskes and making cerial boxes. My box was BLOCK O’ FUDGE, and its just a huge block of fudge in a box. You get to study electricity, and that’s awesome! You also get to study the bloodthirsty Aztecs.

Fourth Grade is one of the best grades at USN. The teachers all are really nice, and things can get extremely surprising. For an example, if you are thinking that the work in 4th grade is too hard and way too boring, than you will be in for a surprise. The teachers go fairly easy on you at the beginnign of the year, but don’t go into 4th grade thinking that all you’ll be doing is easy stuff. The teachers get steadily harder, but it’s in a way that you’ll enjoy. You stay on one level, and once you’ve proved that you’re above that, they’ll get a bit harder.
In 4th grade, you’ll have a lot of exciting and interesting units. You’ll study Aztecs, Space, Electricity, Immigration, and more. You’ll do an Immigration Simulation, where you are given a personality profile of an imaginary immigrant, and you go through a recreation of Ellis Island. For the Aztecs, you choose what you study, and make a codex (primitive book that was invented by the Aztecs) on it.
The 4th grade teachers are really nice. They comfort you when yo are upset about something, and they treat you as their equal. They’ll push you sometimes, but it’s only to help you in 5th grade.
4th graders also get special privileges. You walk down to your enrichments alone, and have everyone looking up to you. You get to bond with kindergarteners, and help them get off to the same loving start that you got off to.
And, above all, 4th grade teaches you to be responsible. If you don’t get an assignment in on time, you’re the only one to blame. You are the ones that do the assignments all alone, no help from Mom or Dad. You are the uprising generation. Don’t abuse the priveliges.

Fourth Grade is an interesting thing. In some ways it’s hard and in others it’s easy. The only reason it’s hard is because your teacher is trying to get you ready for Middle School.
There are a lot of FUN units in the Fourth Grade. Including space, aztecs, imigration and electricity! But watch out for Wordly Wise especially excercise E.( It is a big pain.)
You have recess at the end of the day, right before Hook-up or After School, that is one bad thing about Fourth Grade. But if you ever get sick, (especially if you are in Ms. Hunt’s class) you are very close to the health room.

Fourth grade is a good grade…
i think it is the best art year we made the best art stuff. I when everyone made masks a friend and i thought of putting a cape on ours and most everyone wanted to but i could’nt find a cape that would fit my mask.when we made our own food i made a fish food called FISH NIPS! TURNS FISH INTO FISH! 100% FAT 100,000% FISH! a friend made BLOCK’O'FUGDE! PUT IT IN A BOWL, EAT IT! another made COCO MUCK! JUST MELTED CHOCOLATE!
Also, a font was found called wingdings! it’s so cool espeshily capital n! try it some time.

4th grade is one of the best years I’ ve had in USN. One of my favorite units was the Aztec unit, in the oral presentation I brought in a deadly wooden club. The oral presentation it is scary at first but then it is fun and it was good to Knoe i wasn’t the worst. I really liked it when Ms.Hunt brought in the hot chocolate it was so good.
The final unit electricity i really fun we get to make flashlight, have tons of experiments and make houses run whith electricity applients and i am sure that everybody going into 4th grade will love this unit.
The space unit is alot of fun i got to make a astronaut and our class had alot of discussions about it. Once we started talking about space led off into talking about war.
4th grade is a lot harder then it seems and don’t be fooled by WW and spellography because they are a lot harder then it seems But over all it is pretty fun.

Fourth Grade is a hard working, fun grade! You get to learn about the Aztecs, space, electricity, plants, and alot more! You have to do Wordly Wise and at the begining of the year you will do Spellograpy which is all about grammar and spelling rules. Beware! It is not as fun as it seems.
You study everyday and you learn words like pessimist or hue. Typing stories on the computer is a very fun thing to do. But the ERB is a very boring, long test. You get to have extra recess though.
Although this may seem like pure torture you will survive. Believe me, there are other fun things to look forward to even if you do alot of work!

Fourth grade is the best grade in lower school! I know you will love Electricity because you make swiches and flashlights. Electricity is my favorite unit and it is the last unit in the school year.
Third grade might seem hard, but fourth is harder! The teachers work you really hard but it is really fun! I hope you like it!

in fourth grade you get to learn about a lot of cool things. the best things that you study in fourth grade are studying the aztcs. The Aztecs are not as much fun if you do not study Aztec religion (or Aztec sacrifice). But in the other units are fun to like the immigration unit, and the electricity unit . Although all of these units are fun. Beware of the test after every unit.

Fourth grade is great, but it isn’t all fun and games. You may think Third grade is hard, but wait until your halfway through Fourth grade. There is a ton of homework! Even so, there are a lot of fun things about this grade. You get to grow crystals and put Vaseline on plants in the Space Unit. You also get to go on a huge ramp in the Simple Machines Unit.
In November, be awake and alert because you have to take a week-long test called the ERB. It covers Math, Spelling, Auditory Comprehension, Reading Comprehension, and knowing how to put words in sentences. It is hard, but eventually you will get through it.
You all know that we do Grandparents’ Day, but in Fourth grade you are the “big cheese”. You get to have special parts like speaking on the microphone, being a signing leader, and giving the Grandparents’ Day scheduele out to parents and grandparents. Some people don’t like it, but most people do.
You do all sorts of units, like Electricity and The Aztecs. You have to do an oral report for the Aztec Unit, and almost everyone hates it. Of course, there are tests, and the tests are hard. But there are fun things in the units like I’ve mentioned before.
There are lots of parties in the Fourth grade. There is the Haloween party and the New Year’s Party, and you get to build a game and bring candy for prizes. There is the End-of-the-Year Party. They are all very, very fun and you even get to go outside in your costume on the Haloween party.
In the Immigration Unit, you get to do something called an Immigration Simulation. You dress up as an immigrant and you go through “Ellis Island”. You will also do an Immigration Food Festival where you bring an Ethnic food and you get to eat!
As you see, the Fourth grade is a busy grade. It is fun and hard at the same time, and you will probably like this grade.

Fourth grade was my best year! We get to study space and in the space unit we did plants and crystals! In the space unit I enjoyed make a life size astronaut! The space unit is the first unit we do. The next unit we do is goverment. It’s a lot of fun! In fourth grade we take ERB’s. They cover math, spelling, reading, and grammar. The Aztec unit was a unit with lots of activities. After the Aztec unit we do immigration and we at the end we dress up as a immigrant and act like the person on our card the teacher gave us!! The electricity unit is a great unit.
Because it is your last year in fourth grade we do the waltz it is so fun! you get to waltz with your parents and grandparents!!

In fourth grade you get to make really cool masks in art. You can also look forward to preforming in the fourth grade opereta. You are allowed to walk to P.E. and enrichment without a teacher. Before the electricity unit, you do an immigration “simulation” where you choose a card with information about a certain person, or an inspector that can decide whether an immigrant passes an inspection, or has to return to their homeland.You get to act as that caracter.
You basically get lots more privileges and have lots more fun in fourth grade.

Fourth grade was really cool. In art Mr. Douglas didn’t enforce the rule about not gtting up to talk to friends so we talked lot to other tables.
I computer lab I got to sit next to my best friend and I learned a lot about a certain game. It is awesome sitting next to him.
In fourth grade we do a lot of work but we get a fair amount of free time. It is so cool!!

In fourth grade the best unit so far was the space unit because we wrote alot and we even typed one of our entries. We also got to make space suits it took us a while to make them. We also did experiments with plants. My second favorite unit is electricity because there were tons of fun.

Fourth was an amazing and awesome year. I would take a very long time to tell anyone about how many fun things we did.
One of my favorite things to do is to learn about how a lightbulb works. I love to make a lightbulb light by just using a wire and a battery.
Another thing I really enjoyed was of course my classmates, and of course Ms. Marler!
A third thing I really had fun wih was my bookbuddy. I always looked forward to seeing him . He is so cool!
Although there are so many more things that have been fun I can only tell you one more and it is……… COMPUTER LAB!
Those are only a couple reasons why fourth grade is so awesome!

Are you scared about fourth grade? YOU BETTER BE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Just kidding) It’s so fun because you get to do all sorts of stuff from reading to math to science and social studies. I thing that in science the best thing is electricity because you get to make a house that has electrical things and a flashlight. In math the top two things that I enjoyed were advanced computation and geometry. Social studies is really fun because you get to study about the Aztecs and do a project on your topic. You also get to doo reading groups and present a book. The enrichments are the same but there much more fun because in music you get to do the opereta! So overall fourth grade is REALLY FUN!

I loved 4th grade!!!!!!!!!!!!! The teachers (Mrs. Marler, Ms. Lamitina, Ms. Hunt, and Ms. Noel) were awsome! This doesn’t really mean much-since I came here in 3rd grade-but 4th grade is my favorite grade in LS!!! Science units include: Electricity, space, Aztecs (I let Mrs. M. keep my artifact; it’s the wooden Great Temple), etc. Overall, you are going to love 4th Grade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(My fingers are getting tired)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(gasp)!!!!!

You guys are in for a great time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You get to do a lot more things than in 3rd grade. Like walk to and from Art, and all the others (besides Spanish) by yourself. The teachers are awsome! You do a unit on the Aztecs and Immigration! You guys are in for such a treat!

In 4th grade you get to have so much space. You get to make a house. (IT IS SO COOL!) You get THE BEST TEACHERS IN THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (for every thing) In the lab you get much more free time!! ERBs are very fun!!!!!

If you’re scared about 4th grade give a rest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4th grade is soooo awesome. Even though you have a little itty bitty teeny weeny bit of homework, 4th grade rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My favorite science unit (personally) was everything!!!!! Basically you could say 4th grade is really fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course it is tricky but that is the fun part!!!! You sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo want to get Ms.Marler. She is soooooo funny. But the other teachers are nice too!!! And of course you want to look forward to the………………. OPERETTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Computer lab is the same except………………………………………….You have K4K as Homework everyday. And of course you’re looking forward to 5th grade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am Bob, and I approved this messege. Ok, let me tell ya the good and the bad things about 4th grade.
Good thing number 1, your teacher goes over your homework in math so you understand it.
Bad thing number 1, recess is at the end of the day and it’s only 25min.
Good thing number 2, food festival has the most delicious foods in the galaxy! And it’s only for 4th grade.
Bad thing 2, if you do a messy job for a unit project like the Aztecs, you have to do it over.
Good thing 3, for the unit test you will probably get an A or B if you study like, 5 minutes everyday. Really.
Bad thing 3, if the teacher makes copies of his or her handwriting you can barely read it.
Good 4, on your electric houses, you can do anything and it’s real easy to light a bulb. REALLY EASY!!!
Bad thing 4, indoor recess activities are not that good, besides bop it.
Good thing 5, after enrichment you get to walk to your classroom without following your teacher, and you can talk.. Sometimes.
Bad thing 5, you have to act like 9th graders.
Good thing 6, I approved this message.

4th grade is soo… much fun! All of the teachers are really nice! And you get alot more freedom! We study alot of cool things like, space and immigrants, electricty, and motion! You also get yo do alot of cool and fun expements! One bad thing is that the recess is at the end of the day so, if you miss the end of the you miss recess. And all the bad rummors you don’t pay attention to them! Because, fourth grade is really fun and the big kids are just trying to scare you! There is nothing to worry about!
About the homework, there seems like there is alot at first, but then you get used to it and it doen’t seem like there is that much at all! And it seems like there is alot at first but after the first week or so, it will seem like just a little bit! You also do all the same like last year like, you have music, art, P.E., computer lab, libery, and spanish! That’s just a little bit about fourth grade!!

Fourth grade is very weird and you should stay on the teachers, good side.Your teachers give you more privliges like going to enrichment on your own.As you know you get to do the operetta.
You get to study about the Aztecs and you get to do a cereal box in art. Mine was…WARP SNACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?WARP SNACKS are snacks that make you go 6times faster for 24 hours.You can wait until Friday to bring in your homework.
So do you think that 4th grade is cool? It sure is!

I liked Fourth Grade because I made a lot of new friends.
I really enjoyed the Immigration unit because we got to come to school dresed like an immigrant and pretend to get examined and classmates will ask you questions.
My favorite activity that I did in Fourth Grade in ART was making cereal boxes at the end of the year.
I enjoyed the opereta this year we did it on Mozart. I was Mouse Four in Mrs. Lamitina’s class.
My favorite thing to do when I got home from school was going up to my pool and catching frogs with my little sister.
In fourth grade kind of at the end of the year we take a tour of 5th Grade and we found out that you get your own school e-mail adress. Sometimes there are people in your class that you don’t like but you might get to become their friend. That happened to me. I will not say the persons name but it was someone in my class. I also learned that you should except people for the way thry are not aboout how they act.

4th grade is very fun and do not be afraid. You get a lot of privileges and trust but this year some of our trust was taken away for something only 3 persons did so unfair. They do expect more from student but, it is very fun.
The field trips were very fun and we went to the Science Center and they even had fire there it was so cool.On field day we are going to have a lot of fun at least I hope so. We saw a play that was called A Woman Named Truth. I thought it was super boring but, the person next to me loved it. Most of our trips are fun but, Some like the play can put you to sleep.
Math is easy for me and if you payed atention in class it could be easy for you too. The most hard thing in math was the ERB. The only thing good about it was you got extra recess after each section and no homework!
We did a lot or better fun things in PE than in second grade. In music we get to do the operreta. We got to make and even make cereal boxes. We even got to Kayack in the pool.
Are party are the best we get to bring our own games and food. We get to do them as a whole grade exept for valentines party. My favorite party was the Halloween party it was very fun.
You even get to make electric houses but you might burn with electricty. We studed space and we got cute little worms.
At grandparents’ day you get to do all the fun stuff. I was the FIRST announcer and i bit my nail and the camera got it on tape it was so embaressing

Fourth grade is pretty cool. You get some more choices. You learn a lot more and you get to have some fun. The topics are interesting and it’s fun to research them. However, it’s really hard. You need to work hard and stay focused on the goal. You have some freedom, but that can get yanked away with one mistake. So use it wisely. Thinking is key. Don’t talk because you will get caught. Then you have to run/walk laps at recess. Be careful. Just because they say you can do something doesn’t mean you should think that it’s always going to be there. They revoke privliges all the time. P.E. and recess are fun . You get to do a bunch of cool stuff. Take my advice, just concentrate hard and be good and you will be a happy student in fourth grade.

Fourth grade is hard at first but you get used to it. For instance, at the beginning of the year I had no idea of how to deal with homework packets, and now I always do it right.
There are rule though like if you forget your homework your teacher might threaten you to walk laps at recess!
Next thing: tests. Most of your tests are on Friday like your multiplication test. Only one student has ever gotten exempt on the first weak of school and thats Anna Doctor. Wordly Wise stinks but the tests are EASY!!!! And finally the Social studies tests. They will drive you insane but you can get extra credit.
Well thats some stuff you have to know. But beware the ERB’s!!!

Fourh grade is so cool! It was so much fun. I mean, I just had a blast. A cool thing was the Aztecs. Just learning about another culture was so exciting to me. I, myself studied Aztec Gods!
The field trips were fun too. Like the one where we go to the Adventure Science Center and see all the electricity stuff. In science you get to learn how to make a flashlight! For some reason I felt like naming my little itty bitty lightbulb Bulby!
Now for the ERBs don’t get nervous just relax. I mean you get an extra recess everyday until the ERBs are over! You might want to eat a different breakfast than you usualy do, like I ate a bagel.
A cool thing about recess being at the end of the day is you got something to look forward to! So get packed up quick and don’t talk in line because the sooner you get outside the sooner you get to talk.
Some cool PE activities are Water Volleyball and Kayaking. In Water Volleyball you get to play volleyball, in the water! In Kayaking you get to flip over and do the wet exit! And you get to work with pattles!
In immigration, you get to learn where you are from! Also there’s the International Food Festival, you get to bring a food that comes from your country. Or you get to bring in something your mom makes good! I brought in Bruchetta, it’s Italian. I’m Italian, French-Canadian, Portugese, Slovac, and Irish.
Book Buddies are so much fun! I mean it’s fun reading to them and doing activities with them. My Book Buddy was so nice and sweet. Her name was Maggie!

Fourth grade was awesome! It’s hard but soooooo much fun! On grandparents day you get to be the big star!! We do have ERB testing in the begining of the year but you get to have recess TWO times!
In science you get to do motion and design which was so much fun! Then you get to do space and learn about the the planets. You also get to do a play about space!
In social studies you get to learn about the Aztecs which was such a pain. You have to do a test on it, a presentation about it, AND you have to write a report on it. The test wasn’t that bad. When we studied about immigrants we did an Immigration Simulation! I had so much fun doing that!
The operetta was sooooo much fun! I was Nanerll. Mozart’s sister. We had a blast with all the acting and singing! I had fun singing my solo.
Fourth grade was so much fun. All the teachers are nice! In computer Lab you get a lot of free time! You do have recess last but at least you get recess! Math is kind of boring but you do some fun things too. You get to meet a lot of friends like I did! You get to know people better.
Fourth grade was the best! It was one of my favorite grades! I had so much fun in Fourth grade.

Fourth grade is a awesome grade don’t believe any rumors. It is awesome you study awesome stuff like science Aztec. The teachers are not actualy evil but there are rumors, there are. They won’t lock you in the closet or any thing like that.
Motion and design. is awesome you get to play with k’nex and make cars you get to have a big race with the whole grade. It is awesome it has so much to do. kinetic energy, light energy, you have a long unit on energy.
Space you get to study space you get to do a lot of experiments. it is awesomely awesome. But you have to write in your space journal and then you have to do a space play. You got to go to a planetarium.
Aztec. Aztec is the 2nd best the Aztecs had like a war a day they were cannibals they sacrificed people. You have to give a long 6 paragraph report on it. It is realy interesting.
Operetta/grandparent’s day. The operetta was preety fun grandparents day was ok.
Book buddies. You get a little book buddie. It is realy fun you fold origami and do special activities with them.
Immigration simulation was de bomb. it was realy fun. except you had a boring report to do.
D.E.A.R drop every thing and read.
Science is awsome you get to make electrisc houses. and light it is realy interesting.
MATH is ok can be boring or really fun.
Homework is a lot more than in third grade.
Feild trips field day we went to the children’s theater the adventure science center 2 times.

enrichment was awsome pe you get to do kayaking in the pool art was awsome spanish fun music awsome computer fun. in art you make cearle boxes and masks.
Wordly wise is torture it is the worst part of fourth grade it is realy boring and sometimes hard.
Recess is awesome you have it from 2:30 till 3:30.
Lunch is ok you have to stack the chairs.
You get to walk to enrichment by yourself and to lunch, you have a lot more freedom.

4th grade is soooooooooooooo awesome! You might have heard roomors about how hard the homework is they’re kind of true. Sometines the homework is super easy , and some times it’s super hard.
You will find out that the 4th grade is the hardest grade in lower school and the math is brutal unless you’re a super math head. But there are some good things about 4th grade like you go to Ben and Jerry’s like every week. You have the coolest projects in art like making masks making cereal boxes.
Sometimes the teachers are in a bad mood and the make you run laps just because you laughed or do something else. Do not talk back to the teachers or you get sent into the other room. If you hit you get sent to the office. Try not to scream the teachers hate when you scream.
I’m just giving you a heads up you have to study for tests you usually have a test after every unit and they throw you with something that you never even heard about. That, my dear friend, is why you study.
You have ERB they are scary even your teacher says that it has some stuff that you haven’t learned about. The only thing good about ERB is that you get 2 recesses. I hope you learned a little bit about 4th grade.

Over sping break I went to Clarksville and court. I went to court, because my granmother had to do jury duty.Then I went to work with my grandfather. I played on the computer for a very long time and watched alot of tv. Then I had some pizza and pizza sticks and ribs.

Over Spring Break I had a lot of Baseball practices.
I went over to my cousin’s house we went to the the parkand played some frisbee, soccer, and baseball. Then we played on the
PS3.
The next day my cousin came over. And we wanted to go and
get a game from the Video Store and they said that it opened
at 10:00 and it was 10:30 so we went back. Then we went at
11:00 and they were still closed. So we went back and had some
lunch. And went back at 1:00 and they were still closed so I stood
there for 5 minutes and finally the guy came and opened it!!

This spring break I went to Washington D.C. It is the capital of the United States of America. When we got there we went to our hotel, its name is Hotel Washington. It is very fancy, there are tile mosaics all over the floor. We got our card, and went to our room. It was on floor number five, the room number 515. Hotel Washington is very close to the White house. We did not go in to it, because it would cost money. So, we only walked past it.
We went to the Smithsonian, there are many museums in the Smithsonian. My favorite museum was the air and space museum. All day we only visited museums, museums, museums. The first one we went to was the muesem that I forgot what it was called. Then we went to the air and space museum.

On winter break, I went to New Jersey to see my dad’s family. While I was there, I got to meet my grandparents’ new dog, Cookie. She a big ball of fur, and she’s really fast. I also saw the Titans make the playoffs on TV, and I watched a lot of bowl games.

I went bowling and I got in first place. On my first shot I was the first person to get a turkey. And my dad was right behind me in the bowling game. And my second turn I got a spare then a strike, so I got to go again. And then the last bowl of the game I got nine pins out of ten so I won the game.
