Over Spring Break (2006) I…
Parents and teachers, thanks for visiting. First, a quick introduction of what you’ll find here: Over the school week of March the 27th-31, 4th grade students spent 20-30 minutes writing about their spring break and then after a very quick edit in which I worked the mouse and the student worked the keyboard and we looked over the writing together, we submitted each comment for publication. Please bear in mind while reading that you may find typos or misspellings but that these comments are more in the nature of a 2nd draft than a final one. Still, I think you’ll agree that the reading is interesting and that sharing in this way can help us gain a great deal of insight into how our children enjoyed their respite from the usual week of school days! Feel free to email me at smerrick@usn.org if you have any comments of your own!
NEW!: 3rd graders performed a similar exercise during an introduction to Microsoft Word. The each (assuming each was present for both computer labs) had two 20 minute or so periods to work on their comments. Their comments were saved to a network file, concatenated into one document, and finally added by me as a single comment. Read them, grouped by class, toward the end of the long batch of comments!

Over Spring Break my family and I went to the Destin area and spent a week in a wonderful beach house with the Eidam family–Bob, Susan, Grant, Beth, and Hope. We walked on the beach and on bike paths, played in the sand and (cold!) surf, learned to play Quiddler, and played a bunch of Monopoly. One morning I surf-fished for three hours and actually caught a 2 pound fish, though I’m not sure what it was! I let it go but it was fun catching it.
The weather was really good most of the time, though the nights were very cool. Not as cold as here in Nashville, I gather!
Well, that’s it for now. I’m glad to be back at school; though I could have used another week of break!!!

Over Spring break I stayed home, but I played with a friend every day of spring break.
My pearants are tearing up my room because there is a window in my room looking out on my playroom and puting a door in so the playroom will be my mom’s room. We are going to build a wall in my room to make it smaller, but we haven’t built the wall yet. so all and all it was a good spring break, but I wish it lasted longer.

I had more of the boring time over Spring Break. I didn’t go anywhere, but I saw the movie, Curious George. It was really good. Come to think of it, my two year old brother, Nicholas, came with us too. I think he liked it, and it was also his first movie at the movie theater!!!
Since I didn’t do much, I’ll say this: My brother had a good time, and he also got obsessed with the vacume cleaner. (Also known as the vac as he calls it).
I probably could use another week of Break, but I’ve got it easy: My parents and my brother still had to go to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Actually, my mom got Break the week before).
I guess you coud say I had a good time after all. I would have liked it better if I had gone somewhere, but hey, who says you can’t have fun at home????????????? Not me!!!!!!!!!
P.S., All you people that went somewhere, LUCKY DUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over spring break I went to the place I always go to, Atlanta! Along the way I stayed in Chatannoga for a day and went to the Aquarium, lucky for us we had a pass! We also went to the Discovery Center, I liked the tower the best. We ate at Sticky Fingers which is this barbacue place. Yum!
In Atlanta I went to the outlet which I hate going because all we ever go to is places like Kenneth Coles or Brook Brothers. I also went to the Atlanta history center which was O.K, It had a chocolate museum that made me hungry. Every time we would go to Atlanta which is about 10 times we always eat at this Chinesse restaurant that doesn’t even taste good!
I don’t even know if the trip to Atlanta was great!

Over Spring Brake I…
Went 2 florida with the merrick family and walked and played on the beach (most obviously) and got sunburned all over my body if u c me you can tell that i was. We played lots of monopoly and watched harry potter 4.
The house we stayed in was blue (my favorite color) and had these wicked stairs! They had soft rug on them and hole between each 1. Me and colin slept on the couches (so wicked!) and when we tried listening in on the girls we called it “getting fudge”.
When we left we went 2 the doller store and i got silver sun glasses with flames and a glow in the dark yo yo. It was an 8 hour drive ( the PAIN!) (i was in the back with all the stuff we packed). When we got back we went to a restaurant at 8 o’clock, then we got home.

Over spring break I did not do very much i did not go out of town. But I was going to go to the Peabody hotel where they had ducks running around in the lobby. But we didn’t get to to that. The most exiting day of spring break was on saturday, three days ago. I forgot what I did I the morning, but in the afernoon I went to this place with my dad where you could throw peanuts on the ground. After that we bowled for 2 hours. Then we stayed up all nite watching movies . The other days of spring break my family slept till it was noon, so i didn’t do much in the morning. Spring break was fun but i am happy to be back at school. Even though I woudn’t mind it if it was a couple weeks longer.

Over Spring break I went to Destin in Florida.
It was great weather there while the weather here was HORIBLE here!! When my family and I went to the beach we checked the water to see if it was good to go in it, and it was so Isabelle, my Dad and I [half of my family] went in to go shell looking. When my sister thought she found a shell it was really just a HUGE crab! she started running as fast as she could to shore, and when I heard her screach after she dropped the crab I started running because I thought it was a jellyfish. When we were both at shore we saw our Dad looking confused.

Over spring break I do what I always do I go on a trip with my dad but this year it had a great twist. This year my mom was going to come!! So this year I went to Navada with my dad and sister to spend the night. Then the next day we drove to Zion in Utah, we were in Utah for almost four days. In Navada I did nothing. In Utah I went to the park ate alot took two hikes and watched about ten movies that you could rent from the office. So after all of that we left Utah and went to LAS VAGES

Over spring break i was really hungry. No really, for some strange reason i was. To be honest, i did alot of bike riding, went to my friends house a lot, and made a lot of comics. My family and i went out to some property we have in the country. It was fun. We fished, my brother and sister went on the tire swing, and i made a fire. There were a whole lot of cat tails growing on the side of the rode. i hade a weird urge to put one in the fire. When i did, it for some strange reason blew up. Its seeds went everywhere (most burned up) It was awsome. We went to chatanooga. We went to the aquarium. It was pretty cool. They was a shark petting zoo (really, but oviosly they werent great whites). They had just added a building calls “underwater adventure” that was technically the same as the aquarium but worse. SPRING BREAK WAS AWESOME!

Brrr! Over Spring Break I went to Newport, Rhode Island to see my granma and aunt and uncle. It was cold, maybe it was 30 degrees.
.
Pretty much all I did was watch tv, half because that’s all my granma can do and the other half because of March Madness. You know, I hate LSU because they beat Duke in the Sweet Sixteen and I love Duke. Oh well, at least there’s George Mason in the Final Four and they’re the only Cinderella team still in it.
When I came home from Rhode Island, all I did was either play on my PS2 or my PSP which was sort of boring but I had nothing else to do.
I really didn’t want to come back to school but so far it has been so good.

Over spring break…
I had tons of fun! My family went to Fort Myers, Florida.
On Monday we went to the pool and had yummy cookies all day long!
On Tuesday we visited Thomas Edison’s lab, office, yard and home. We also visited Henry Ford’s house and garage. Then we went back into our own century by eating pizza for dinner. It was a lot of fun!
On Wednesday the best day of the week we went to the Greyhound races and bet on the dogs, I won $36.20! Then we went to a horrible place called Destinations for dinner, Boo! Boo!
On Thursday we went to the beach to meet some of my dad’s old friends but I made friends too! For dinner we had some delicious lasanga, and cookies!
On Friday we played pool and I killed my leg. We then had dinner at a french cafe.( It wasn’t that good.)
On Saturday we came home. And that was the end…

Over Spring Break I mostly stayed home, but I also went some places. On the 2nd day of Spring Break, I went to a competition in Williamson County. The awards were at the end of the day, so we could leave and then come back. We ate at Fridays, and then we waited until the awards. My team got in the top 3, so we could go to the next competition in April.
The next day, it was very windy. My grandmother and I went to Edwin Warner Park to fly kites. The wind blew so hard that I almost let go of the string. When the kites ran out of string, it took forever to wind it back up. We flew kites for over an hour, and we were exhausted after winding and unwinding string for an hour.
That Wednesday, my sister’s friend, Megan, came over to play. I told her that I would’nt be there because my grandmother was picking me up. It turned out that Megan came before my grandmother, so I hid for about 3/4 of an hour. When she finally got to our house, I ran in front of Megan. She was very surprised, but she was also mad.
The day after that, all of us were flying kites at Edwin Warner Park, even Megan. My grandmother and I got there first, and we flew kites and had a snack. When we finished the snack, My mom, my sisters, and Megan came. She promised not to annoy me because then it wouldn’t be much fun. We all flew kites even though it wasn’t as windy that day. Megan’s and my kite strings got tangled a lot, but Maggie’s (one of my sisters) kite didn’t work at all. We made up for that by letting her use my kite that Saturday.

This spring break I went sking in Sun Valley, Idaho. It was are third year sking, and are second year sking at Sun Valley.
Like last years spring break my family and I skied with our cousins. We stayed in an okay house. What I didn’t like about it was that it was like one big open room so there was no privicy and it was very echoey. But my favorite cousin Rudy and I got the best room. But we got in trouble doing that because sence we were in the back of the ford explorer, we would have to hurdle over the seats in the front of us that are sisters were sitting in to go find the best room. When we did we fell on them so my dad got mad at us. Yet we sucseeded to find the best room. It had a TV whith surround sound and a DVD player and all these other gagets. It was also a big room with two beds in it.
The sking was great. There was a lot of snow and it snowed two of the days.
I am running out of time so let me just tell you one of the really bad crashes that I had. I was on a run called Olympic when I was going down and I saw a wall of snow so I went up it. There were two people sitting there so I had to go around them, but there was a big dip in front of me and I didn’t realize it and it was too late. I went off the dip and I am not exaggerating when I am saying this I was at least ten to twenty feet in the air. I lost my ski and landed on my bottom. Thank God that God gave me a bottom…

Over spring break I stayed home over the week and had a few playdates, but over the weekend I went to Atlanta. On friday morning the Given came and picked us up. It was a 4 hour drive and we got caught in traffic and it changed the drive to a 5 hour one. Once we got to are hotal and cheked in my mom came and met us. My family got a three room sweet whith two tv and two bedrooms one living room whith a couch that could fold out into a bed and a kichten.
After me and grant shoed of our rooms we went out for dinner. we went to a place called phillie`s connenction it was deserted. The place had horrible food only the kids ate there then we went to a japaniese resteront and we waited for our food for 30 min.
when we woke up on saterday we were planning to go to a couple of musems. started off by going to the world of CocaCola it had a giant bottling machine in the first room. The bottling held over 500 bottles and put coke in the bottles. In the same room we saw a monie about hoe coke was invented also in that room we saw some of the first coke bottles. The next room we saw a guy give us a demistration of how coke was served along time ago. Can you belive that coke wa s served in a 6 once cup there was also over five differant flavors for coke back then. On the next floor in the first room was a giant CocaCola bear that we alol sat on and got our picture taken. In the next room was all the coke pruducts in america for sample we could have as much as we want in the other room they had all the coke pruducts in the world for sample after that we wen to the gift shop and got a cocacola bear

Over Spring Break I…
I went to Turks and Cacios Islands with my parents and little sister. I played on the beach and swam in pools and the water. on the beach I built one sand castle and a race car. I got to throw a rubber football with my parents in the ocean and the pool wich I called the green one the “Flying Lime (or watermelon)” and the blue one the “Flying Blueberry”. I played three games of hearts and did pretty well. I got to get ice-cream twice because it was at least seventy degrees each day if not hotter. I stayed at Ocean Club East and had a blast for half of the vacation on the way there I got to play my Gameboy for at least an hour and on the way back I got to play it for at least two hours strait.
The other part of my vacation I spent with my Grandparents while my parents were at a wedding and I played a ton of games of hearts, casino, and gin. I helped my Grandpa with crosword puzzles and I helped my Grandma by reading when she wanted something done. It was a great vacation.

during spring I started out by missing a day and a half of school. i was going to a ski resort in Utah with my mom, cousin , aunts,and a uncle.
i was just beginning to learn to snowboard with one of my cousins named madeline. i had a blast going down the slopes. the highest levle i got was a blue.
we went to two really nice restraunts one went to for diner on the first day and one for breakfast on the 6th
the weather was awsome there was a lot of snow. the sun was always in the sky. if it wasn’t snowing.
i had the best time for the 6 day we were in Utah [2 which were mainly on planes].
i was home for a day so we went to the orey land mall to see the Imax. I’m out of time!!!

Over the first part of spring break I didnt really do much except watch tv play with stuff and go swimming. But then I went to Washington D.C. and met my brother at college. We went to the Senate and the Smithsonian (I especially liked the plane simulator.) I also hung out with his friends and watched a basket ball game. Later we went to the Archieves and saw the outside of the White House. (By that time I had walked My feet off.) It was very sad when I had to leave but I flew back by myself and my spring break was alredy over by the time I got back. So over my spring break I had a lot of fun.

During Springbreack I stayed in Nashville. The bad thing about that every thing was the same. Except that we got kicked out of our haouse. The workers had to put polyeurathene on the hard wood floor of our whole house. So we could not walk on the hard wood floor of our house for three days.But the good thing about that was I got to stay in a hotel.I t was called “The Embassy Suite”.

This summer I had a great time!!
I went to Sarah’s grandparents house in Orlando florida. The down part of the trip was we had to drive there. It took us to days but our iPods helped us pas the time away!
When we got to the house we unpacked and went to the pool and racket club her grandparents belonged to. There was a lake and we went kayacking. It was the first time Sarah had ever been. The next day we went to Kennedy Space Center. We got to see the real Saturn 5 rocket that blasted our astrounauts to the moon! I had a great time there but my favorite thing I’m about to talk about. After two days at Sarah’s grandparents house we went to Disney World! The hotel we stayed at was Old Key West! The pool had a slide that was inside a fake sandcastle. In the nighttime my other best friend landed from their plane and was only something like five rooms down from me! The weather was great the whole trip! My favorite ride I went on this trip and probably my favorite ride I’ll ever gone on was EXPIDITION EVERIST!!! What was so fun was my parents didn’t come.
When we drove home we did the full eleven hours! We alse went by the head headquarters of AAU basketball. Once again I had had a great vacation.

Over spring break I went to disney world. Whitley came with us. We met up with Megan too. We went to Animal Kingdom, MGM Stuidios, Magic Kingdom, and Epcot. At Animal Kingdom we all went on a brand new ride called Mt. Everest. It was super fun. We also went on a water ride. We all got SOCKED! At least Megan and I. We were the wetest. In the end that ride was fun too. At Magic Kingdom we went on splash mountain and got a little wet. We also went on thunder mountain, Aladin, race cars, Goofey’s rollercoster, teacups, the pooh ride, the peter pan ride, its a small world, space mountion. At haunted mantion we sat in a chair and a ghost would sit with you. Megan Whitley and I got a ghost we called “Marty”. Megan and I acted like he was still with us after the ride. We also had a lot of fun doing a character lunch at Epcot. At epcot we went around different countrys. We also went on rides like misson to MARS, Test Track, and rides at the countrys. At MGM we roud tower of terrer and Rock’n RollerCoster. The rok’n rollercoster had a super long line when we were going in, but when we got of the ride there was no line at all.
Next we went to Walnut Ridge, Arkansas because my cousin Madison had an ochshen and she was the queen for her grade. GOT TO GO!!!!!!

I stayed at home during spring break.
While I was at home I played Ps2 for the time. And after I played Ps2 I normally played with my friend talor. We always played basketball, NFL street, gamecube, shot airsoft guns, and always went into my neighbors backyard to see if we could get to our friends house, their names are Jay and Jordan.
We always played football, basketball, tag, and baseball.

I went to Kentucky with the Dicersons. First we went to The Lost River Cave and had a 20 min, boat tour.
Then we went to see where we were staying. We stayed in a ”wig wam”. It was plastered. Next we made a fire and had hot dogs. We played LIFE next. Then went back to the fire. We had marshmellows. Then went to bed. The rooms were so little!!!!!!!
When we got up we and had a snowball fight. Then went to Crackebarrel. After that we went to Dimond cavern for a hour tour. It was so cool. Then we played games. We went home. On Saturday we had a basketball thing. We won one game and lost two.

I went to Mexico during spring break for five days. Surprisingly there was a straight flight from Nashville to Cancun! I went to Playa del Carmen which is south of the city of cancun. The flight was about two hours and thirty minutes. When we got there we had to go through a lot of security. Finally we got a ride to the hotel which took forty- five minutes.
When my brother, my dad, and I got to the hotel we checked to see if the room was ready and it was. Our room was a long way from the lobby so we got on the baggage cart to ride to our hotel room. Soon after arriving at the hotel room I went down to the pool side where I got a drink and swam. The pool was very good. There was also a beach right beside the pool area.
Later the next day, we did some of the same type of activities including boogie boarding, hanging around at the pool and continously putting on sunscreen.
On Wednesday I went snorkeling and saw a lot of big and brightful fish. I also swung off this giant rope into a river. We also went to this ancient Mayan ruin called Tulum. There were so many people there!

I had a really good spring break even though I didn’t go anywhere.
I went to an Vandy and North Carolina game and Vandy lost. And After that, we stayed for the LSU and Washington game. LSU won.
I also was able to go to work with my mom. It was actually pretty fun because my sister and I watched T.V. and ran around a lot.
On Sunday I went to a sleepover. It was so much fun! We stayed up until past midnight, I’m sure.
I saw a lot of my friends over spring break!
Over the weekend, I went to Mt. Juliet Tennessee for a basketball tournament that I was in for AAU basketball with the 4th Grade girls team.
The tournament was only on Saturday. It took us 30-45 minutes to get there. There were three games, one at 11 in the morning, one at 2 in the afternoon and one at 6 at night. We only won once and lost twice. AAU is a little tougher competition than what I have been in but we will get to try again, because we have another coming up this weekend.
What I really liked about my spring break was sleeping in late!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Florida this spring break and stayed on universal studios campus it was so cool. I think that universal has defenitly better rides than disney my favorite rides where the Mummy and Men in Black ( espically the mummy note never ride the mummy one a full stomach its a fast indoor rollercoaster.) I also went to Epcot and rode mission space and test track both rides are so cool. ( but why do they have to make us wait so long for a rides that lasts only 3 or 2 minutes.) Epcot also has a part of it where they make it seem your in different countries.
I ate in one of the resturants in the China part of it it severd really good chinese food. My mom dad and I went to a place in Epcot call inovatinas where they had cool games and talked about cool futreistic things it had a virtually baseball game but the coolest thing i did was spend time with my mom and dad which was all I really cared about on this spring break.

Over spring break I went to Chicago. My mother had a confernce there so we all went there. We stayed at Hyatt hotel. the day we arrived we went shopping at Watertower Place, one of the biggest malls in Chicago. I knew there would be a downside to all this fun. At least we went to Navy Pier and watched an IMAX movie and had ice cream even though I made exscuses that I was to sick to go to the mall. I thought I was making exscuses but that night when we went to Borders bookstore I really did have a sore throat. For dinner we ordered room service because I was too sick to go out. The next morning my nose was blocked but we went to the Aquarium. The Shedd Aquarium is the largest inside Aquarium in the whole world. There are over 8000 species of sea creatures. I know you want to know more but I’m out of time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over spring break I went to Florida first we went on a plane and flew into Tampa a two hour flight. Then we drove to longhorn and ate I had a grilledchees it did not taest very good. Next we went to walmart and got a bunch of stuff I don’t remember. Then we went to Publix and got stuff that I don’t remember. Fanally we got to the marriena and put all of our junk into the boat. Then we road in the boat for about 30 minutes when we got to the island we then took all the stuff out of the boat and took it to our beachhouse after we put the junk in our house we went to the beach for the sunset wile the sun was setting I doug a hole about two feet deep. That night we waghed a movie it was on HBO and I do not remember the name of it but it was awsome. Thats all the time I had.

Over Spring Break, I just stayed home. But I had more fun than you think. First, I had a sleep-over with two of my friends, next, since my neighbors were on vacation, I got to take care of their dog and cat!!! It was really fun. And since my other neighbors was on vacation, we got to take care of thier parakeets!!!! Since we all ready have two parakeets, my family was looking after four parakeets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we had only two, it was REALLY loud. Now, when there are four birds in the house, OUR HOUSE IS A JUNGLE!!!!! (Well, it sounds like one.) Our parakeets are named Nevie and Rainbow. The ones we are pet-sitting are named Picolo and Chello. Our neighbor’s dog is named Cassie and the cat is named Scratchy. So, since I love animals, (I mean really, really, really….) I had a great Spring Break.

Over spring break I… I played on the computer, and had playdates and, on Thursday I went to Atlanta with Isaac and his famaly. The next day we went to the coca cola factory I saw a movie there and got to sampel 40 difrent cokes. at the end of the tour was a gift shop the three of us got a bear.

Hola! On friday I flew to Costa Rica. At the beginning of the trip we stayed at a hotel in San Jose. It was called Finca Rosa Blanca. My favorite thing to do there was to play my dad or my sister in ping pong. When it was dinner time they would have two tables set up and you would eat with two other familys. On the second night at dinner I met this really nice kid named Willy who knew tons about sports. We talked all night about sports and sports video games. It turned out that everbody else at my table was also going to Punta Islita later on thier trip. Punta Islita is the next hotel that we were going to. After dinner Willy and I checked the tournament scores on his sister’s Mac.
The next day we were leaving for Punta Islita and we went in this really small plane that only seated four and the pilot.When we got there the main thing I did was race my dad in the swimming pool. Later on we went on a zip line, monkey quest, and I got to Race A.T.V.s with my dad.The only Problem was I didn’t get to take surfing lessons.
I could also use an extra week of vacation.

over spring break i went to canada to ski it was so fun. The hardest mountain was Blackcomb but i did it anyway. And after i skied i went to the hot tub. so you can see that i had a good one.

Over spring break I went to Disneyworld (Who didn’t?) and stayed there for about 7 days. Here’s what happened to me.
Day 1…
On day 1 we left TN and flew to Florida. My family stayed in Orlando, at the Nick(elodion) Family suites. We spent that day exploring that hotel.
Day 2…
On day 2 we went to The Animal Kingdom, one of the disney parks. As the name suggests, it was based on nature. One of the rides I went on was a water rafting ride. Notes to future Disneygoers about that ride: 1. Ride it at the end of the day, unless you want to walk around wet for the rest of the day. 2. If you’re facing backwards when you go over the waterfall, you’re hosed. Literally. We saw a family from this school (The Flatts) and said hi to them. It proves my point. Everyone’s going to Florida.
Days 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7…
I’m out of time so… We went to (In order)… Blizzard Beach, Magic Kingdom, etc.
We saw our aunt, which was one of the best parts.
Overall, I had a great time.

Over spring break i went to Kentuky. But we dressed for warm weather (like here) but there was snow on the ground it was freezing and raining we almost went to mammoth cave but we didn’t. but we did go to diamond caverns and lost river cave tour (boat) ride in a cave. Fortunatly we went home early.
I also had a soccer tournement in smyrna with Alec we won one lost two and we placed fifth overall in the tournement.

What I did over spring break was I had a dentist apointment. After the dentist I went to the movies. I got a new DVD and I couldn’t stop watching it. I went to the US Space and Rocket senter in Huntsville, Alabama with my grandparents. It was so cool to go there there was rock climbing and a space ride and rocket engines. I loved it! I slept late. My cousin came over and I also was a couch potato.

Over spring break I did somt’n amazazing. I went on a first class cruise. The desserts were the most exquisite desserts I ever had. It was like going to disney world. The cruise had arcades and charged you for taxes. But I… like to brag and I got 42 out of 1000 place. At dinner i had to wear my fanceyest cloths. And i had to take a shower BEFORE dinner. For dinner i had a appetizer. It’s called escargot and I don’t know what it is but it tasted…ish. There was a 24 hour icecream and pizza buffet. But not at dinner. I went snorkeling for 2 hours. And i went helmet diving. There was a leak in my helmet and I thought it was pretty cool. The workers took pictures of me helmet diving. And this was all at Mexico exept the boat. And I bought a white and silver sombraro and Michael got a blue and gold one. I gained 9 pounds, and it’s kinda cool and not so cool. I won a stuffed thing at the gameclaw, and hunters. It was better than playing Runescape. A lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot lot better.

Over spring break I went to disney world! I went with Sarah Elliott and Whitley Cargile! My parents also came! we went to all the disney parks, MAgic Kindom, Animal Kimdom, MGM, and Epcot! my favorite rides were, mt. Everest, Rockn’ Roller Costter, Hanted Manchine, Tower Of Terror, and Space Mountain! It was really fun! My famliy flew but Sarah and Whitley drove.
Besides that I wacthed alot of TV! I also played a little bit with my sisters, Rachel and Anna!:) I also played on the computer!

Over spring break I went to the Bahamas! It was great! I went down alot of water slides and went parasailing with my dad. I also Played at the ocean and drank out of a coconut! One night I saw “The Lion,The Witch, and The Wardrobe” in a movie theater. I also got my hair done at the beach! At dinner 1 night I had worms in my salad! We got Icecream every day! It was great! I wish I was still there.

For Spring Break I went skiing in Snowmass, Colorado. It was really fun. I’m not very good at it, but it was still pretty fun. I watched a lot of March Madness. It was really exciting. I saw a bunch of dogsled dogs, and my brother had to pet every one. I was freezing. I also got a lot of air on a lot of jumps. I hated going to ski school, because it was boring. We had a whole day of flying home.
When we got home, I had a soccer tournament. We won the first game, 3-1 after being down 1-0 at half. Then the next game we lost 1-0 to the eventual champion Mockingbird, who in the finals beat our other team 7-0. We also lost 2-0 the next day.
I won my family bracket for March Madness, and got 9th in a bracket of 37 people. I watched a whole lot of it.
It was an awesome Spring Break.

Over spring break I went to the Destin area in Florida with Grant E. and his family. Grant I got really far in two of the vid. games I brought for my NDS. We walked on the beach and went to Seaside where I got a
Life Is Good T-shirt and a wristband that says CONFUSED on the front and grant got cool gum, sunglasses and a yo-yo. Grant told me about a cool website called http://www.pokemoncrater.com. If you like pokemon vid. games then you would like it. The bottom line is I had a great spring break.

Over spring break I went to New York with my family. It was really cold there. We eat a lot of food! I went to see Wicked with my dad and older brother and it was a great play. While my mom and other brother went to see Spamalot and they liked it. Our plays were at time square and it was all lit up and it was beautiful! We also went to the huge toy store that was packed with stuff animals and I was in heaven!
One day we went to see my family in Long Island. There I met my little cousin spencer who is two. One day my mom and I went shopping and we went to a Jewlry store and we saw a yellow diamond that was found in Africa. Then we went to the American girl doll store. The next day we had breakfast with my two cousins and their mom and my Aunt Aleina, who we almost spent our whole entire vacation with.
When we came home I had sleep overs and playdates with all my friends. One thing I did the most of was sleep in! I had a lot of fun on my vacation but I wish it was longer!

This spring break I first went to Destin, Florida with my family. In the car I was finger weaving and when I was finshed it was longer than my car. When we got to the room we went on the balcony and looked at the white sand to my sisters it looked liked snow. In the morning my mom and I went to the beach and played in the ocean while my dad and sisters were a sleep. They woke up and we went out to Crackel Barrel to get breakfast I bought a little dog in the store it was very cute. After we went to the beach again and we went in the ocean and collected shells. I put my sheels in my wallet and when we got to Orlando they were very smelly and slimy. After the beach we went to get dinner at Ruby Tuesday. We went to this guys house and slepp the night there. When we went to Orlando we got a cool room that was kid friendly. When we came back are car had a flat tire and we waited 3 hours. We stayed at a very cool room in Gergia it was like a suite. This was probably the best trip ever.

For Spring Break I went to Ireland. It was fun! On the day I was going to Ireland I got my expander. As I was on the flight it was hard to keep my ears from being blocked cause I can’t eat gum. When we got to Ireland it was freezing but we went to the National Stud Farm. It was cool except my feet were frozen. The first hotel we went to was the K Club. It’s hosting the Ryder Cup this year. The next day we went to this place that had old churches and houses that monks lived in. Some of them were still remaining. While my mom, my sister (Molly), and me were looking at these churches and stuff my dad was golfing at K Club. While we were there we went to see the Book of Kells. It was made by monks. The Book of Kells is in Trinity college. Trinity college was founded in 1592 by Queen Elizabeth the first. The souveniers I got were a Ireland sweatshirt, a Ireland t-shirt, and a leprecon charm. The best potato chips in Ireland were Tatoes, my fav. kind was the salt and vinegar. There were other kinds but they were gross. Like the cheese and onion, yeah, it tasted like plain old onions! Well I had an awesome Spring Break and I hope to go back to Ireland.

Over spring break I went to Syracuse, New York. I was sick the first 3 to 4 days but then I got better. I played poker with my dad but we weren’t playing with real money. we played parcheesey. i watched TV a lot of the time and i played in the snow. it was about 30 degrees out or less. we saw peter pan. IT WAS AWSOME. that is all the time i have.

On spring break I did lots of stuff. Stuff like… Skiing in Colorado at this AWESOME place called Copper mountain. It was so fun going off moguls (jumps) although it was dangerous. Well the fact that you never knew what was there until you tried to go down. By this I mean if you went left on a certain part of the mountain you SPEED down this exteremely steep hill. Then again there was the occasional “I can go down this easy” and next find yourself in the ER. But other than skiing I played video games and celebrated my birthday in which I got a lot of random stuff. Stuff like… Watermelon seeds. So you can see it was a pretty wierd Spring Break.

Over spring break I went to Destin with my Mom my brother my babysitter and my brothers friend Jallian. All I did on the whole 7 hour car ride was watch Finding Nemo, listen to my I-pod, and look out the window at nowheresville Alabama, but the worst part I couldn’t stop looking! When we (finally) got to Destin we had to go over a ten minute drive over a (huge) bridge. when we got to are condo we had to start unpacking (ahhhh!) But finally George turned on the TV and I said “FINALLY” something other than Nemo!
The next day we started jumping off the dune in front of our condo and some guy in a bulldozer and us delinquents? Then we had some insane volleyball, and I got some sunglasses, then bulldozer guy got mad at us. Thats all the time I have kiddos’. Bye.

This spring break I went to St.John. I saw some Southern Sting rays and saw a Spotted Eagle ray. I also saw two Green sea turtles and a Hawksbill turtle. I also went fishing and my Dad caught a Marlin! I caught a 35 pound King Mackrel and a Barracudda,a Tuna,and I helped my Dad with the White Marlin. The Tuna was delicous. I stayed at Caneel Bay. When we were coming back we missed our second flight. It was a cool trip!

For spring break I went to Crested Butte, Calorodo and stayed in a resort called Club Med. It was snowing there, so they had public snowbaording lessons so my brother and I did it together. It was are first time, my dad had been doing it for a long time so he took the advane class. My mom had forgotten how to ski so she took lessons too. That night we had dinner there the food was awesome! the next day I went to ski school. Our trainer was Eric and he was really nice. I met this girl Alegra and we stuck together the hole time. That day we learned the basics and then I saw this skier who was going really fast and hit this big block of ice. She started screaming and she had to go to the hospital. I found out that she broken her leg.

At spring break day two I cleaned my room after a stay over at my neighbors’ home. After that me, my mom, and dad went to LOWES and got purple paint for my room (to paint over that horrible brown I have had for four years!) I wanted a darker shade of purple but mom refused. The very next day I hung out at my granny’s garage with Clansy the dog and Pizza the stray (we love to play fech but Pizza tries to eat the stick.) After mom rapt up my room and dressed it up my room with white trim. I got to put my bed at an 108 degree angle. At last I could curl up with my dog & cat In MY OWN bed!

This spring break I saw Hannah Montana and Cow Belles. I also scared my sister when she was in the shower. I also got my hair corn row braided but then my mom made me take them out so I could take my shower. I also scored two goals in one of my soccer games. I had three AAU basketball games and after the second game I went to Pizza Hut with Jenmei and Mikaela. I had a playdate with my best friend Sophia, who’s kind of like a sister to me. I also bought three pairs of new shoes.

Um…… well i didnt realy do much on spring break because the only thing to do was to either play runescape,watch T.V or play with a big green ball named wilson.So the big question is what did i really do on spring brake well the most interesting think was that i called my friend in England and talked about stuff and stuff.The second most interesting thing i probably did was make a website, the best thing about making a website is that you ge t to make links to any othe site in the world(if you wanted to see my website go to http://www.interobjectivity.com).Another thing i did over the spring break was make up weird jokes about things that dont even have to do with school. Over spring break I went to Florida and had a BLAST it was so fun. We didn’t go to the beach, but I did see five Winn-Dixie stores. We went fishing and I caught seven fish at the most. I saw Chicken Little while I was there and had pizza when we went fishing. Right before we left we drove up to sun city and had breakfast with my godparents and god brother and sisters. Breakfast was great and we played SpongeBob Life. For breakfast we had pancakes before we left their house

Over spring break I went to utah. I just went skiing while I was there. Also my mom broke her MCL which is the ligament in her knee. I went to a ski school for basically the whole time. My dad also taught me some new ski tricks like how to do a turn upwards on the hill. I only skiied up to double blue runs but no blacks.
When I came home I got to see my best friend for the whole weekend and i saw the movie “She’s the man.” I also had a sleepover. After those couple of days i kind of got bored so I watched tv. But no one really cares about that. I also watched some of the ncaa tournament and was really happy when LSU beat Duke.

For spring break I went to Las Vagas. It was a lot of fun. My mom won some money on the slots. While we were there we went to the monst jam world finals 7. It was a lot of fun I got to meet the driver of the Avinger. when the show was over we to the shuttle back to the hotel. We stayed at the MGM GRAND. We came back on Sunday at 5:30pm. The next day I had to go to school. That’s what I did for spring break.

Over spring break I went to Washinton D.C. While I was there I went to many resterants and saw three movies that were “the shaggy dog”, “chicken little”, and “patriot”. All were pretty good. I also went to the zoo and saw many animals including a baby panda. Also I saw an elefant shrew, it was like a pink minature elephant but still a little strange. We also got to see octopus feeding. And we also went to the air and space museuem. and got to see a real lunar lander. Thier were also many other museuems that I can’t count.
It was a super fun time but I realy like seeing the elefant shrew. he would just walk around sticking his nose into the ground. We found him in the small mamles tank at the zoo. Thier was also good sesame chicken a Chinese resaurant in China town. I had a great time.
After we got back we basically enjoyed ourselves. After a cub scouts meeting Case came over. and basicly after that it was just an averge weekend, bye.

Over spring break I went to a drama camp becaus my parents had spring break the week before, so we had to stay in Nashville and as I all ready told you I went to a drama camp at the Nashville children’s theater. So now I will indent so you can learn some of the details of my spring break.
Well, at this camp we didn’t just learn about acting, we also put together a play of our own (which we preformed for the parents at the end of the week). This play was about a really snobby talk show host (which was me) hosting a reality show called the amazing race. There were lots of different characters taking part in the race, like for instance there was the Scatterbrain family and the Troubles and the neats and… well you get the picture. Anyway. it was fun performing the play and it was fun being Luresa Song (the talk show host). I guess it was a pretty good spring break even though I didn’t go out of town! I had fun anyway.

On spring break i had loads of fun. I went to the the Corvette museum and got two Corvette models, awesome! I also went to Kentucky and stayed in a lodge that burned down in 1943 but was rebuilt in 1965. I hiked for 4 hours!!!!!! The lodge food was really bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But on the way home i went to the best restaurant ever. It had corn sticks, tomato soup, really good vegtable dishes and home made chocolate cookies.
I also saw Wallace and Grommit and Flight Plan.
I danced for 2 hours a day.

Over Spring Break I stayed home, but had a really fun time. I had a long car drive with my friend. We went to a cabin site and spent a few hours there. Part of the time I stayed home and went to my grandmas almost half of the time. My aunt and uncle came and they stayed until last Tuesday. Last Saturday, I had three A.A.U. basketball games. During that time we had long breaks betwen games. Before the last game, I went to Pizza Hut with two of my friends. It was really cool. My team also watched some of the other games going on and learned new plays when we had practices. My dad wasn’t on Spring Break so I didn’t get to go on a canoe trip with him. I really enjoyed seeing my cousin that came, but he left the day after he came. My Spring Break was a really fun one.

Over spring break my family went to Illinois and stayed with my grandma. She lives in Dekalb. On Monday we went downtown, and I went to a coin shop. I got lots and lots of coins. An 1853 dollar coin, an 1895 Indian head penny, a Bejamin Franklin dollar coin, a 1950 dime, World War ll period nickels, and many others. Then we went to a French pastry shop, and I had a cinnamon bun. Two days later I went to Chicago, and we stayed in the Hilton. we went to the art institute, and I saw many famous paintings. They included statues by Remington, Picasso, Monet, and others. I also saw suits of armor. Back in De-kalb, we went to resturaunts, watched T.V., and did other boring stuff. Then I made a tree house. But then I found a sword and a U.S. navy helmet. Then I had serious fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over spring break my family and I went to Atlanta. We got to go and see the new Georgia aquarium. They had lots of fish and sea creatures. The things I liked most were the octopus, sea lions, african peguins, jellyfish of all kinds and many other things. We stayed at the Marriot hotel. One other place that we went to was the Crossroads. It had lots of activites. One thing that we did was the 4-D theater. The show was called Tall Tales. It was scary and fun at the same time! Before you went in to the theater a person would say “If you are scared of snakes or things that go bump in the night you may leave.” Or at least something like that. Another thing that we did was Ride the Ducks. It was really fun! what you would do was they gave you a life vest then you would go into the bus. After that the bus would drive into the water and you still would float! Those kinds of buses were used during the war. I had a great Spring Break!

Over Spring Break I went to two places, Chicago, Albany and New York City. In Chicago, where I went first, we visited my Grandparents. I also had to go to a bunch of furniture stores. That was probably the most boring part. Ome of them was humongous! We stayed in Chicago for five days then we went to Albany. In Albany we Looked around for a while and my brother saw his new school. He stayed there awhile while my mom, my sister and I went to ANOTHER furniture store. When we picked him up after two hours we went to a indoor waterpark and it was AWESOME! The day after the next we went to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island! I got home in time to see 2 shows.

On the second day of spring break I went to a D.I. (Destination Imagination) competition called Back at You. Back at You is where you have a team and you need to make a machine that sends a ball to a Receiving device that sends the ball back to you. Plus you have to make a story for the ball as if the ball is the main character and the main character has to move from place to place. In the end my team won and we were able to move on to the state competition. But later I fond out that we were’nt going to go to the State competition because the parents had not known about the state competiton. But that was okay because the rest of the spring break was alot of fun.
The very next day I went on a plane to Nevada with my dad. My mom and brother were already there because the had left during the competition. We had to go on two planes, one to Houston then the other to Nevada. When we got there we spent an hour driving to a hotel on the base of a mountain. First we went sleding because we did’nt have enough time to get our skis and poles. (Plus our boots and goggles.) The next day we got our boots, goggles, skis and poles. The first day we went skiing only on greens. We continoued that four every day except we started going on blues and on really high lifts, plus ramps.On the very last day that we stayed there in Nevada we went sleighing. Then the next day we got on the back to Houston and when we where waiting for the plane my dad and I met Ms. Hunt. Then we lounged around for the rest of the day.

I didn’t do ANYTHING whatsoever over spring break (except sleep). The first couple days I went to my grandfather’s country house. It’s just like a lake house, but with no lake. We had a campfire and roasted marshmallows. I made a poster, but I don’t think I should tell you what was on it. After that I did something whith the cub scouts. we made knife holders, bookmarks, toolboxes, and potholders. Overall, I had a pretty good spring break.

Over spring break, on Sunday, I went to Fairfield Glade in Crossville with my dad to our lake house. We had so much fun. The first thing I did when I got there was, I went up to my bedroom and started jumping on the bed. Then I slid down the railing of the stairs and went outside and started playing basketball even though the net of the hoop had come off. Anyway after my dad put his stuff up, he came out and played with me in a game of Pig, Horse, and Deer, I lost the first game and won the second and third game. This is how Pig, Deer, and Horse is played. You need two people to play and when the first person takes a shot and makes it, you have to take a shot in the same place and if you don’t make you are a P if your playing Pig. That’s not all of it but it’s all the time I have today!

Over Spring Break, I had a blast!
My birthday was the 22nd, and I was really excited. My mom had told me that only one of my gifts had arrived, and that it was the biggest. I was wondering what I wanted that was big, besides a horse,of course. My parents had just read an article in Newsweek about how kids are doing too many things at once via their tech gadgets. All of my hopes of a digital camera were squashed. Yet, after breakfast and a warm shower, I was led upstairs to my room and told to get my American Girls dressed while my parents wrapped my presents. After about fifteen minutes, I was told to come downstairs. I had butterflies in my stomach as I carried my dolls downstairs with me.
On the table, I saw 2 gift bags and one large box. I went for the box first. As the colorful wrapping paper fell away, I saw it. A Kodak EasyShare Z650 digital camera with a big LCD. I was ecstatic. I opened the next bag, and found a great printer, so that I wouldn’t have to hook the camera up to the computer to print my photos. In the last bag, I found a package that contained a few printer cartridges and a lot of printer paper. We went up to my mom’s study and set up the printer. We had to let the camera charge for 3 hours before I would be able to use it, and I was impatient.
While we were waiting for the cam to charge, I went out with my dad to buy some nice faux leather journals called Moleskines for our family. I had gotten one before, and loved it, so I figured that the rest of the family should have them.
When I returned, the camera was charged. I was so HAPPY! I went through the house, taking photos of my cat and of my family members. I also went outside with my dad and took lots of photos of the house and had a blast.
After that, I went upstairs to print out my pictures. It was amazing. The photos came out crystal clear.
A few days later, my other presents arrived. My AG things, the Tree Swing and Molly’s 1944 Adirondak beach chair and swimsuit were a lot of fun. But so were my new nesting dolls, which were chickens and Rainbow Ladies. I played for hours. And, just yesterday, the final gift arrived- a warm and fuzzy chair that can convert into a bed. I guess that I have a lot of fun in my future!

During spring break I was at my grandparents’. My mom and dad dropped me off in Cincinnati, but not before we had lunch at Jillian’s.
I went shopping with my grandma and my great aunt Kay. I must have seen like 9 movies when I was there. I would love to name them all but that would take way too long.

Over this spring break I went to Atlanta, Georgia to go to Georgia Aquarium. We stayed at the Omi hotel next to the CNN center and at the Omi hotel everything is so expensive. Well at the aquarium we saw a lot of out of ordinary fish like the zebra fish . We also went to the Atlanta state park and there was a place that water shoots out of the ground and you get very wet! We also went to Chattanooga to go to rock city (Lookout Mountain) it’s a long hike but it’s worth it! So the rest of Spring Break I went to the lab in Vanderbilt University in the lab I did pipet tips for the lab and our lab members came over to our house to have a party and some fun for the family and we ate out and had catering from Basils Asian Bistro it’s not that bad. We went biking at Crockett Park and at Somerset Division. I played monopoly and other fun games also; also it was raining hard for two days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over spring break my brother and I my cousins went to the YMCA to play basketball my brother scored 15 points, I scored 7 points my cousin, Tre’ didn’t score but 4 points, and my cousin Jullin scored only 2.We went to the game room that is also in the YMCA and played Foosesball, pool, air hockey. After that we ate pizza from the worst place–psych!

It was a dark and stormy night when I was in the attic. There was thunder and lighting and strong wind I was typing my blog and the lights went out, then the lights came on and then my sister came in and said “That’s not what happened over spring break , this is what was going on over spring break. “Oh right I remember now”. Over spring I wrote a story about my family and it was funny. I celebrated my sister’s birthday we had friend’s family and neighbor all in my house. My family and I made stuff for her birthday like balloon animals and games. All the time it would get dark and we would be outside. We watch movies and played games and read some books. Everywhere I went my sister would follow me. Me and my dad built our guinea pigs house out of wood and spray painted it, and that was the only thing we would tag . All the time I played with my sisters all day and night no stopping, and later we built a fort out of covers. We went jumping for hours and played for hours and had a lot of food. On my sister’s birthday we had cup in the shape of the number four. We had Macula and Daryl Jackson. Also my mom told stories about her childhood, like riding her tricycle down the stairs with her brother, or the time she got her tongue stuck on an ice cube. My dad told us that his sister flipped him on the bed. My sisters played girl too.

Over spring break I went to California and visited my Aunt, my Uncle, my Grandma, and my Grandpa. I went to their church. The church had a new stained glass window. Then I went to Sunday School. They taught us how to make paper birds. Then we all went outside. When we went back to their house, I had to sleep on a rollaway bed in my grandparent’s guest room. There was a typewriter in the room. I asked Grandma if I could type on it. She said, “sure. But I don’t think it’s going to work.” It worked perfectly. I typed four stories on it and I was right in the middle of my fifth when the typewriter ran out of ink. The next day, I was called to make pancakes with Grandma. We didn’t make them from scratch, though. We got out a pancake mix. We also made blueberry pancakes with frozen blueberries. The pancakes were delicious! The last day of the trip, we went to Kovell Gardens. It is a rest home. My Grandparents might live there. And they also have a piano. That will be good for Grandma to play and it will also be good for Grandpa to compose more music. On the piano, I also played, “Angels We Have Heard on High.” When we got home, I went to Adventure Science Camp for two days. I saw Erika there.

Over spring break my family drove to Panama City, FL. It took 9 hours! When we got there we walked on the beach. The next day my church had a retreat. It was really boring. The next day I left.

We tried out the steepest trail anyway but we had to hold on to trees so we wouldn’t slip.

Over Spring Break I had a great trip to Colorado to go skiing. The only bad part was the second plain. It was delayed three hours! We got to Colorado at 7:45 and we should have been there at 1:45. But there are many good things that happened. My family went to the fanciest restaurant in the Ritz Carlton, Remington’s. They even made a special course for us. Most of the other nights we had room service. The funest part was the skiing. We went on a lot of blacks. My ski instructor was Kenny. I learned that there are other ratings for skiers than red, green, blue, black, and double black. 0-3 is beginner levels. 4-6 are intermediate. 7-9 are expert. We went to Remington’s one more time. I ordered lobster. My friend, Edward had elk. My mom and I went to the Shaw’s room. They all wanted to watch King Kong. I really didn’t want to. We woke up. I watched the History Channel for an hour. We went down to the lobby to eat lunch. My mom and I hate airline food. We went to the airport. We went through security and then we were on the plain. It wasn’t really long. I was happy when the flight ended but there was another one to fly. I had some coffee at the airport. The Shaw’s live in Alabama. We had to travel there first. We woke up and left very soon. It was a very dull drive. We had to get groceries when we got to Nashville. I played my drums for a while and watched some TV. I hated that I had to go back to school. Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Over spring break I stayed home except for 4 days when I went to my lake-house at Center Hill Lake in Cookeville. At my lake-house it was freezing because our heater broke and we got it replaced on the last day we were there but luckily my Dad had space heaters to keep our rooms warm. When we were there I played lots of foosball.
When I was home I went to see the Vandy vs. the North Carolina Tarheels and Vandy lost then I stayed for some of the LSU vs. Washington and I heard LSU won. On spring break I went to the aquarium. I liked the seahorses because they are able to camouflage really well.
One of them [that was red] camouflage so well that almost no one saw it!

Over spring break my family and I stayed at home and my uncle came to town. My uncle and I played baseball and he is good. He played with my little brothers too.
I looked at Cheek Woods website because my grandma wanted me to do it and I wanted to do it to. My little brother, Allistair, wanted to do art lessons too so we looked on the computer for him and we found something for him to do. I practiced drawing too and I`m not that good but I`m going to keep on practicing.
I also danced and went to dance lessons and made up dances.
My uncle left the day before I had to go to school and I`m sad but he`s going to come back in the summer.

In fourth grade you get to try a lot of new things. In PE you get to play Vector Ball and badminton. Also, you get to kayak with Ms. Lee and Ms. Preston.
Next, the units you do are fun. You get to learn about the Aztecs and Space. then you learn about electricity and get to build houses with electric appliances.
You have a lot of tests too. Wordly Wise, math, and unit tests. All together, fourth grade is a pretty fun grade that I liked.

Fourth grade is a great year at USN. You will have harder math and spelling. you will have about the same amount of home work as in third grade. The fun things you will do will the space unit you will make a space journal and learn about the plants. When you study immigration you will get to bring in food from different places to eat for lunch. As you know you get to make flash lights and a house at the end of the year. You will also have funner things to do in PE.
Every thing is good in fourth grade but you can not pick your own lunch table are who you sit with. I hope you will enjoy it the same way I did.

4th grade ROCKS!!! Once you step into 4th grade, you’ll never want to leave. The teachers are great, and they give you candy sometimes when you do something good, or for no reason at all.
There are a few catches, though. What did you expect? Free-time all the time, 7/5? I don’t think so. Teachers can be strict, and sometimes you get in trouble.
But it’s great all the same. You think it’s not? Think again.You’re independant, and the teachers can be soooooooooooooo nice!
If you start 4th grade and you don’t lik it, wait ’till you try the elactricity unit. It’s a blast! You learn to light a light-bulb, with just a battery, a wire, and a light-bulb

4th grade is the hardest grade in lower school. There is a lot more work and the teachers are harder on you. And there is a lot more homework than the grade you are currently in.
But there is a good side to fourth grade too. You will get to do activities that you don’t do in other grades. Like in P.E. There is a unit on badminton, vector ball, and even kayaking.
There is a test on every unit, and there are math and wordly wise tests. Unotherwords, I hope you like tests.
Academically there are some fun things to. like the electricity unit. You will probobly like some other units, but electricity is the best.

Fourth grade is one of the best years in school. My two favorite units this year are probably the Aztec unit and the electricity unit because I thought they were the most interesting and we get more involed with them. I really liked doing the oral presantation even though it was kind of weird to get up there in the middle of the floor with all those people looking at you and knowing Mrs.Hunt is grading you.
The spelling is much harder because we have Wordly Wise and spellography and the words are much harder and more complicated!
Even though there were not any new people this year I made a lot of new friends!

Fourth grade was really fun. In Art, we got to know all the secrets for Mr. Douglas’s magic tricks. The teachers are some of the best in the world! We get a little bit more work, but the teachers are not as hard on us. All our units were fun to. In electricity, we got to make a lightbulb light up, make a flashlight with absoulutly NO help and, finally, we got to amke electric houses!!!!!!! It was so fun! In Immagration, we got a person and had to act like the person the whole day! It was so fun!!!! All you almost-to- be third-graders, YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE FOURTH GRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a great time in forth grade it was so fun because you don’t only get to go to Ben and Jerry’s but you also get to go to Wendy’s and Panera!
The math was so fun and you get to study realy fun things like space and The Aztecs who killed people to bring rain! You also get to do lots of reading for literature circles and read after almost every subject. You get to go down P.E. by your self and go to enrichment by your self. I think the teachers we’re very awesome!

Fourth grade is really fun and cool. You get do do a lot of different studies like space. You also get to make eletric houses. They are super fun to make. You even learn how to light a lightbulb which is fun fun to. You also have literature groups too.
You get to go to Ben and Jerrys a ton. You also get to walk to p.e. and enrichments alone. In fourth grade you get to be in an operetta.

Fourth grade is the best! Although you have to work hard you also get to play hard. Mr. Merrick has asked us to write about what we liked the most about fourth grade. It’s easier said than done.
The thing I liked the most about fourth grade was probably the electricity unit. It’s the bomb!!! So far We’ve made flashlights, simple circuits, series circuits, parallel circuits, and switches. This afternoon we are going to start talking and maybe making our electric houses.

Fourth Grade has been awesome! Mrs. Marler is the best teacher. It was great having her!
I probably like the electricity unit the best. We got to make flashlights and we are starting to work on our elecric houses where we have to make the house have electricity and make lamps and light switches really work.
I also have enjoyed doing the immigrant unit. One day we came to school dressed like an immigrant and there were inspectors and we had to pass through ” Ellis Island.” The next week, we brought in different foods from the country our ancesters came from. I brought in Danish pastries because my mom’s side of the family is from Denmark.
In art class we do very cool projects like masks that we can wear. We made them out of paper mache.
I have enjoyed computer class, we do keyboarding for kids and do our own power point. Power point is really fun.

My favorite thing in fourth grade was FREE CONE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was awesome.I got a chocolate fudge brownie ice cream. It was so good. I am really excited about the electric house unit. My partners are awesome and also some of my best friends. It was probably the best year I have ever had. I am really excited about the flea market. I also loved my literature group because it also had one of my best friends in it too. We read a book called clockwork and since we had to present it to the class we did a puppet show and I have to admit it was pretty bad. But it was definitely worth it. But the other group did a poster and two more groups have to do them on Thursday. My last thing is computer lab and art. In computer I love free time (But I bet everybody does). But I also loved doing our masks in art and now we are doing make your own product. It was the best year ever and it beats kindergarten but not by a lot. See ya.

Fourth grade is like a big bouncy four square ball, just one little tap and the whole ball is affected. like say you want a book from the bookfair, now say that you and your friend are sharing it, then say your friend tells some kids in another class about this then they would all want to share the book, now say a teacher sees them talking and asks them what their doing. eventuly all the teachers will find out and who gets in trouble? YOU! So basically in fourth grade you have to remember to watch your back, think out what you do before you do it and never ever read a book too large for your reading skills.
So, I guess that you’re pretty concerned about the homework, well in fourth grade you don’t get that good ol’ 15 minutes of reading you get 30 minutes at the beginning of the year 20 in the middle and 30 at the end. That’s the reading down, now for math. For math homework we get study links and papers to study for tests. in writing we get spellography and wordly wise and finally we get K4K, k4k is probably the best homework we get.
Fourth grade is nothing much to worry about.

On spring break I went to Folly Beach, South Carolina near Charlston, South Carolina When we were there we saw the aircraft carrier the U.S.S Yorktown. We also went to a Union fort in the civil war. And we went to two cotton plantations. When we got back home I ordered a new video game, Pokemon Daimond verson. That same day I went golfing with my dad and I played with my best friend. The next day I went back to school.

For spring break my family first went to Universal Studios: it was so fun. On one ride my mom and I went on this water ride which got us soaked and my dad and my brother and I went on a Spiderman ride which was fun.There’s a lot of 3D rides to.
After we want to Universal we went on the Disney Cruise with our cousins. We had an awsome spring break!

For spring break, my family and I went to Reelfoot Lake. After about five hours of driving, we found our small cabin, which was not too far away from the water. The lake had a lot of cypress trees growing in it. It reminded me of a swamp.
The lake wasn’t for swimming in. Many fishermen would come there to catch certain kinds of fish. We also did some fishing ourselves. My older sister caught them mostly, but I caught a dogfish, and dogfish have teeth. The one that I caught had bright green fins.
Reelfoot Lake is also close to the Mississippy River. We drove over to the side of the river and my two sisters and I looked for cool things that had washed up on the shore. My favorite things that we found were the top half of a plastic G-I Joe and a man that was dressed all in black. I guessed he was supposed to be some kind of spy. We also rode a fairy boat right before we drove home. It was a fun spring break.

On spring break I went to a state park for 2 days. It was fun, I guess. The rest of spring break, I was either on the Internet, Looking for photos of The Naked Brothers Band, or getting sprayed with a hose. Joanna and I did some silly and fun things outside. I went to bed at 10:00 according to my mom! I got hit with some giant water balloons, but the water balloons were so weak that it didn’t really involve any damage. Spring break was fun. I wish we didn’t have to go back to school.

Over spring break I went on the Disney Cruise. I met Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. After that I went to Universal Studios. I won a big grassphopper. After that I went to Miami, Florida. For a Bat Mitzvah. I got a dog tag.
At the Disney Cruise we went to Nassau. I got a fake tatoo. After that I went to a private Island called Castaway Key it was fun.

On winter break I went to Vermont to ski. We stayed at are cabin. Every day we’d go up to Burke mountain. My mom and dad went skiing. Me and my brother went snowboarding. We also got to see our cousins a lot. When we did not go skiing we built sled tracks and ramps. When we came in we’d have lots of hot chocolate.

Over winter I went to Indiana and St.Louis to see both sides of my family. In Indiana I shot a bb gun at cans and got to go to a Christmas Eve festival.
It was lots of fun!!!
In St.Louis I went to my cousin’s house and my grandmother’s house my cousin’s cat Hazel fell down a laundry chute and they where getting major house renovations, too. Thank goodness Hazel was fine!
Their other cat Alice is up to trouble and merrymaking as usual. I got many cool presents! I also had three Christmases–one at home, one at Indiana, aand one in St.Louis. I got everything I wanted for Christmas. My favorite gift was an XBOX360. Well, I hope you all had a nice winter break.

Over winter break me and Molly saw Mary at the Apple Store! We started talking, we wanted to go play with the iPhones but said we wouldn’t, finally we couldn’t sit there any longer so we all ran over and started to play with the iPhones. We were about to go on Google when the parents said it was time to go. “Bye Mary,” we said sadly and left.

I had a sleepover with my friends and we stayed up until midnight. In the morning we woke up when it was still dark out. We played “I Spy Treasure Hunt” and we got the treasure. Then me and my other friend played “Pet Sale”. We had waffles for breakfast and played Star Wars the video game.

I went to Atlanta and went to a really cool store called IKEA. I bought stuff for my dad’s new apartment. I had a friend over named Lane and we played in our puppet house hut and put on a puppet show. I went to my grandmothers house in Bellevue and to the YMCA. That’s it!

I went to my grandmothers because she was sick and she couldn’t breathe well. She lives in Birmingham. We opened presents. I cannot decide which present is my favorite, I got so many good ones. I went to see the movie “Enchanted”. It was a little scary because there was a witch in it. My favorite character was the princess names Giselle. She is my favorite character because I had a friend in London that went to the same school as me named Giselle.
I gave my mommy five things, I gave her 2 salt shakers, one pepper shaker, one tea pourer, and a locket that looked like a heart with flowers and grass on the front. I put a picture on both sides, one of me and one of my mommy. I also gave her the card I made on the computer for her.

I got an inflatable to jump on in my basement. We play basketball, jump, and do flips. I really like it. It’s my best present ever! I heard reindeer tracks on my roof and outside of my house. I saw some reindeer tracks too! I liked this Christmas so much! I hope you had a good time too!

I played with my best friend Landon and after Christmas I smashed all the Barbies. Landon went outside and fell in a big mud puddle. We went to the movies and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks. My favorite part was when they were trying to get away from the security guards. I didn’t go on any trips but I went to the playground and threw rocks everywhere.
